About Elsie

Meet Elsie
Elsie Brotherton is an accomplished attorney-turned-fitness entrepreneur with a proven track record in brand development and business growth.
She discovered yoga in 2010 while in law school as a tool for stress management, and her passion for the practice quickly deepened. After earning her Juris Doctor from Emory University in 2012, Elsie built a successful legal career specializing in business litigation.
However, her entrepreneurial spirit and love for wellness led her to pursue a different path.
In 2015, she founded Highland Yoga, transforming it from a single studio into a thriving multi-location brand across Atlanta, Alpharetta, Athens, and Nashville. With a deep understanding of brand positioning, strategic expansion, and operational excellence, Elsie has grown Highland Yoga into a leader in the boutique fitness space, known for its strong community and dynamic heated power vinyasa classes.
In 2022, she expanded her impact by launching Training Collective, a luxury personal training gym in Atlanta’s Inman Park, further cementing her expertise in fitness business development.
Beyond her professional ventures, Elsie enjoys spending time with her husband, Bree, and their daughter, Billie, in Serenbe, Georgia.
